In one paragraph

Media House is a media centre for people who own their files. Point it at a folder and it indexes every format, reads actors, series, years and quality tags from the file names, makes posters, and lets you browse it all like a cinema. Favourites, scores, genres, categories and smart collections keep large libraries organised; a PIN-protected page brings the library to any phone or TV browser in the house. Nothing leaves your computer: no account, no analytics, no uploads.

Price: Free for 15 days with everything unlocked and no sign-up, then US$4.99 a year (the price varies by country). The trial is the full app, so nothing extra is needed to review it.
Languages: English, Arabic (full right-to-left layout), German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, Korean and Hindi.
Formats: MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, WMV, TS, WebM, MPG and more; HEVC/H.265 10-bit; HEIC photos and Live Photos. FFmpeg is built in.
Privacy: No accounts, no analytics, no uploads. Optional lookups (actor photos, film details, subtitles) happen only on request and send only a name or a title. Privacy policy.

What is different about it

It works from the file names.: Actors, series, seasons, years and quality tags are read from the names your files already have; words that keep recurring become category suggestions you accept with one click. A messy collection needs no renaming first.
No server, no account.: It sits between players such as VLC, which play anything and organise nothing, and media servers such as Plex, which organise everything and want a server. The library index lives on your own computer.
You organise while you watch.: A panel beside the video holds the score, genres, categories, tags and markers with screenshots; hovering the timeline shows a frame preview.
Phone and TV access inside the house.: A PIN-protected page on your own network, opened by scanning a QR code. Nothing leaves the network.
It respects drives and clouds.: An unplugged drive hides its files instead of losing their organisation. OneDrive and iCloud Drive files that are not on the computer are shown and can be downloaded from inside the app.
